Overview:
O.E.M. is the abbrevation for Original Equipment Manufacturer. PC Magazine clarifies the acronym stating OEM as an organization that sells products that are made by other companies. The term is confusing because the OEM is really not the manufacturer, but the vendor of the equipment to the end user. In some cases, the OEM does add value. For example, it might purchase a computer from a company and combine it with its own hardware and/or software and sell it as a turnkey system <click here> . We hope that clarifies CoolTOYZPH does not make these laptops...

With the Jolex Line we wanted to demonstrate how a small hobby shop like ours can offer a Store brand. The "big shops" actually took notice and began lowering the prices for Generic Laptops... a bonus for us consumers! With the MY Laptop project we are pushing the bar higher. We have strongly recommended against "Generic/OEM/Whitebook" laptops for lack of on-line bios and driver support; something that long time laptop users have come to realize to be important <click here>. In line with this My-Laptop models will offer web-based Driver and Bios support configured with great specs with the consumer in mind and rock-bottom prices.

The units come from the same distributor where Big PC-Chain stores purchase their house brand. A side-by-side comparison with other house brands will verify this. The only difference is that out of the mutlitude of models available in the market we have pre-selected models that have web-based support, then configred them at the best value for money specs and priced them at least 5% lower that market price and "Yes!" - you decide while sitting down...
