The Vaio FW460J, Sony's distinctive Vaio styling begins with a Dark Brown LCD cover and Black chassis with curved features, accentuated by a cylindrical hinge with an eye catching green lighting effect. The beautiful cylindrical hinge design is more than for aesthetics. For one the cylindrical hinge provides maximum strength to the LCD panel which one of the most vulnerable points of the laptop. The combination of Hinge design and battery also keeps the size and weight just to 3.1 kilos. Finished in durable and lightweight magnesium alloy, the thin-walled chassis of FW-Series preserves portability while providing rugged protection from shocks and knocks. Excellent aesthetics and build quality is what makes a lot of users faithful to the Vaio trademark.

This notebook is boast of a 16.4-inch widescreen with 1600x 900 pixel, which clearly is the centerpiece of the this FW model.
